In 2015, we set out to solve a problem that frustrated us every day: building professional websites shouldn't require months of work or tens of thousands of dollars.
We saw businesses everywhere; from local cafes to growing startups; struggling with outdated, inflexible platforms or paying exorbitant fees for custom development. We knew there had to be a better way.
So we built one. Starting in a small shared office, two developers with a shared vision began creating what would become Larapen: a modular, theme-based CMS platform that combines the power of custom development with the simplicity of drag-and-drop builders.
Today, Larapen powers websites in over 40 countries, supports dozens of languages, and offers a growing ecosystem of themes and add-ons. But our core mission remains the same: make professional web creation accessible to everyone.
